Since graduating from the University of Adelaide with a Bachelor of Agricultural Science (oenology), Anita has spent much of her time working vintages around the world, having worked at wineries in Langhorne Creek, Mount Benson, Hunter Valley, Martinborough (New Zealand), Bordeaux (France), Washington State and Oregon (USA). She has gained very valuable experience and brings this wealth of knowledge back to Wangolina Station. The experiences allow her to bring a mix of influences into her winemaking.

Anita spent her first full time year in 2006 and embraced country life. With her home we have been able to truly look into what we have done in the past. This has prompted our change in contract wine processors. Form 2008 vintage onwards we will be making our wine at Bird in Hand in the Adelaide Hill and because of this change we have decided to take consultation form Kym Milne MW.

Kym has worked extensively in New Zealand (making really great Sauvignon Blanc) and is a worldwide wine consultant. Anita is sure that she will learn a great deal form Kym and can’t wait to see the final products of our 2008 vintage. To facilitate our winemaking Anita is re-locating to the Adelaide Hills for the 2008 vintage also and is excited to face the challenges of yet another vintage and another wine region.

"It is a privilege to be part of something which has been developed by our family over five generations. We are now creating a new tradition for Wangolina Station as a producer of fine wines that will be able to be enjoyed by our family for many generations to come."
