welcome to wangolina
Wangolina Station is situated along South Australia’s Limestone Coast, renowned for its limestone, climate and terra rossa soils combining to produce world-famous wines of exceptional quality. Wangolina Station is part of the Mount Benson wine region situated between the coastal towns of Kingston and Robe.
Our picturesque Cellar Door sits nestled among native gums and spacious lawns and is perfect for functions, garden parties or private or group tastings*. Surrounded by wild grey kangaroos and our extensive cattle, it’s a great rural setting to enjoy a glass of our award-winning wines. Picnic facilities are available.
Wangolina Station has operated since 1923 and we take pride in promoting local produce. You’ll find our Cellar Door stocked with all sorts of local goodies including almonds, coffee, olive oils, jams, chutneys, chocolate and gourmet toffee.
But don't forget to taste the wines...we have an impressive selection of boutique wines available for tasting.
While you are at Wangolina Station keep an eye out for the true locals. If
you get the chance make sure that you say g'day to Zenag, the rather large and vocal Shorthorn bull that lives in the front paddock.
Our Cellar Door is open most days. We operate from 10am-3pm on weekdays and 10am-5pm on weekends and during Summer months. However being a small family business sometimes we too need a day off. If our gate is closed so is the Cellar Door.
The Goode family arrived in Kingston in the late 1800’s and established Wangolina Station in 1923 breeding Shorthorn cattle and sheep. In 2001 fifth generation Goode family member, Anita Goode, added to the Station’s quality reputation with the addition of Wangolina Station Wines. Using grapes sourced from the Station’s vineyard, Anita has produced a range of award-winning wines.
The Goode family still run a working cattle property producing Shorthorn cattle with great consistency and structure.
